The Organization for Humanitarian Assistance in Disasters (OHAID) was founded in 2015 by Afghan volunteers as a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization.
OHAID was formally registered as a national NGO with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan on January 8, 2023.

OHAID works hand in hand with communities, local shuras, line ministries, clusters and partners to understand needs and strengthen local capacity.
Programmes are designed through technical teams, implemented through the Program Support Department and monitored through an independent M&E Unit.
